Hana HaberSome people talk about a San Francisco Doom Loop, we’re here to offer a counter narrative: a Boom Loop. A boom of affordable, stable housing to support the people who work in the service industry, who open independent businesses, and who invest in our city by participating in our rich culture of nightlife, arts, live music, and performance.
Affordability is one of the biggest challenges facing our City. Our creative community of djs, artists, musicians, drag performers, and designers, can only continue living in San Francisco if our leadership develops robust policies to support affordable housing and expand rent control.
This November, we have the opportunity to elect people who will fight to create positive change, District 9 Supervisor candidate Jackie Fielder, and Mayoral candidate Aaron Peskin. Both of these candidates will work together in City Hall to enable a new direction of hope and prosperity for us, the people who make this city, and end a legacy of catering to the political demands of big money billionaires and real estate developers.
House Music for Housing is a night supporting affordable housing for all to the tempo of house music, dj’d in part by our multi-talented D9 hopeful, Jackie Fielder, hosted at Make-Out Room on Tuesday, August 27th, from 7-9:30pm.
We are asking for a $20 sliding scale suggested donation, split between both campaigns, as your ticket to the party. For our two grassroots campaigns, your donations fund our ability to reach as many voters as possible to ensure we win this election against the far-right billionaires trying to steal our city for personal gains.
Bring some friends and find us on the dance floor! We can’t wait to see you!
