Artists are the backbone of the community: creating the imagery that represents the ideas, hopes, dreams, and experiences of the people who make a place special. In San Francisco, we have a long legacy of artists, musicians, dancers, and designers who found refuge in between our seven hills, cultivating a rich history of creativity felt across decades and generations.

In order to keep our subcultures alive, we must elect leadership who care about the issues most pressing to our creative community. From affordable housing, expanding rent control, supporting local businesses, and public safety, we have a Mayoral candidate on the ballot this November who knows about these struggles and has a plan to fix them.

Across Aaron Peskin’s five nonconsecutive terms as Board of Supervisors President representing District 3, his support for the arts shows in the district’s standing as a nightlife and cultural hub for locals and visitors alike, and as Mayor he will expand these policies across the entire city. From saving the Diego Rivera mural at SFAI, subsidizing studio space, expanding small business protections to art studios, protecting tenants against evictions, and working to save the San Francisco Arts Commission, Aaron is the only candidate with the track record and policy plans that prove an authentic allyship with our community.

Join us on Saturday, August 24th from 5 - 8pm at Small Works to rally a coalition of Artists for Aaron. We’ll celebrate the closing reception of Light that Cuts Across, featuring the work of several local artists, have a dj spinning tunes, and light snacks.

RSVP here and bring some friends! We can only win this election with your support!
